Janet founded Parere Advisory after experiencing firsthand the challenges of establishing a single-family office without the availability of unbiased and unconflicted industry-specific resources.  While institutional-caliber guidance and service providers had been plentiful in the asset management world, the family office ecosystem offered no independent solutions for executives to partner with in designing and building out a comprehensive operation and team.

At Parere, we believe that family offices deserve the same level of excellence as world-class asset management firms, while maintaining the sovereignty that makes them unique. An immense quantity of resources and oversight is required to create a long-term structure that is fit-for-purpose, anticipatory and nimble. While numerous paths can be taken, paving the course to success depends on knowing and understanding the family’s priorities and goals. Only then can solutions be designed and presented in a clear, transparent manner.
